A. Statistcial tests are performed while limiting the genes analyzed to one out of 10 predefined gene sets: 0. All genes. 1. All metabolic genes (enzymes + transporters) 2. Metabolic enzymes 3. Metabolic transporters 4. CCM Enzymes 5. CCM Transporters 6. CCM Enzymes+Transporters 7. CCM+1 Enzymes 8. CCM+1 Transporters 9. CCM+1 Enzymes+Transporters CCM - genes catalyzing reactions in centeral carbon metabolism CCM+1 - genes catalyzing CCM or reactions in the immediate (graph) neighborhood of CCM. B. Statistical tests and explanation of fields. For a given set of measurments of an attribute of genes (like flexibility or protein noise), and given the number of conditions that each genes was timed in (matches at least one timing-motif in that condition) we performed the folloing tests: 1. T-test; Comparing the distribution of the attribute, across TT genes and non-TT genes. Note that T-test assumes gaussianity. 2. Wilcoxon test. Same as 1, but using Wilcoxon test (no Gaussianity assumed) 3. Linear Correlation. The correlation coefficient between no of timed-conditions, and the attribute. 4. Same as 3, but using Spearman correlation (no Gaussianity assumed)
