In 2011, I completed my west-to-east traverse of Nepal, by trekking for almost two more months from Arughat (the place where I had ended the first half of the traverse in 2008) to the eastern border of Nepal. The following photos are approximately in chronological order.

Children in Arughat.

Small shop and restaurant.

Children looking into my tent.

Woman and boy enjoying the view.

Colorful women near Shyabru Besi.

More children looking into my tent.

Young girls in Simigaon looking out from a window.

Limbu ladies near Chainpur carrying a lot of gold on their noses and hears.

Tibetan woman.

Rest after hard work.

Another golden lady.

A smoking lady.

Porter with a wide load maneuvering to avoid a rock outcrop.

Pilgrims and monks around the Buddhanath (large stupa) in Kathmandu.
