Canada (May 6-13, 2019): Banff, Yoho, and Jasper National Parks

This one-week road trip combined with daily hikes visits highlights of three contiguous Canadian national parks located in the provinces of Alberta (Banff and Jasper NPs) and British Columbia (Yoho NP). Early May is a good time to make such a trip: remaining snow makes the mountains look even more grandiose than in the summer and the weather tends to be more stable than later in the summer. It is also ideal for avoiding big crowds, as it is coined between the peak of the ski season and the coming peak of the late-spring/summer season. During this trip, the weather was mostly sunny, with only a couple of cloudy days.
