Confucius Temple:

 

- Stone bridge over the Pan Pond leading to the Wall of Supreme Knowledge, emblazoned with a colorful Chinese unicorn standing above four scrolls for cultivated minds.

 

- Scenes involving Confucius made in Cochin pottery. They decorate the walls of the Lingxing Gate (the first of the two large gates giving access to the central Da Cheng Hall).

Bao-an Temple. Close to the Confucius Temple, it is one of the most beautiful temples in Taipei (along with the Longshan Temple). The original shrine was completed in 1760, but the current structure was built between 1805 and 1830. The main deity enshrined here is Baosheng Dadi, the God of Medicine.

Longshan Temple. It was built in 1738. As many as 165 deities are worshiped, but Guanyin is the main one.

Red House. Built in 1908 this octagonal building is one of the oldest in Taipei. Originally a market building, then a theater, it is now a multi-usage building.

 

In the Xieji Chinese herbal pharmacy on Guiyang street.

 

Dihua Street. It is an historic street lined up with shop houses selling Chinese medicines, herbs, and dried-food. Many of these houses are built in Chinese Baroque style dating from the 1920′s. Few older ones are in Fujianese style.
