Bio
I am a Ph.D. candidate with the Geometric Computing Lab at the Computer Science Department of Stanford University.
My research interests lie at the intersection of Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and Natural Language Processing. My area of focus is on designing deep learning models for visual data that emphasize semantic differences among objects, especially as these are being expressed with natural language.
Recently, I interned at the Facebook AI Research Lab in Menlo Park and before that at the Autodesk Research in San Francisco. A few years back, I was a research assistant in the Haussler Lab at UCSC and an Erasmus scholar at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems in Tüebingen DE.
Previously, I did my Master's Thesis at Stanford, and my Diploma Thesis with the Signal Processing Laboratory affiliated with the Computer Science Department of the University of Crete.
