Participation to WEBKDD'2000

Participation to WEBKDD'2000 is by invitation only. Invitations have been be issued on the basis of a waiting list. The list is closed and the invitations are already sent. The invitations are ny name and are not transferrable.

To attend WEBKDD'2000, you must register for the KDD-2000 conference. There is no special fee for attending the workshop; however, a fee of $10-$15 will be collected on site for the workshop notes.

If you received an acknowledgment that your participation is guaranteed, you must show up at least 15 minutes before the start of the workshop. If you received a priority number that does not guarantee your participation, please show up 10 minutes before the start of the workshop: empty slots (after withdrawals) will be distributed.


If you received an acknowledgment that your participation is guaranteed but you know that you will arrive late, please contact one of the WEBKDD'2000 Chairs asap, to ensure that your priority number is kept for you!

Applying for an invitation

We expect three groups of prospective participants: Please refer to the instructions for your group.

Authors of workshop papers

For each workshop contribution, the participation of two authors is granted. However, we need the exact number of authors intending to participate, so that an adequate number of workshop notes is available.

Please send an email to webkdd2000@wiwi.hu-berlin.de with the names of the paper co-authors that wish to participate prior to July 15.

PC members of WEBKDD'2000 and organizers of KDD-2000

Your participation is granted but we need a confirmation that you will participate, so that an adequate number of workshop notes is available.

Please send an email to webkdd2000@wiwi.hu-berlin.de stating whether you will join the workshop prior to July 15.

Other KDD-2000 participants

Please send a short statement of interest to webkdd2000@wiwi.hu-berlin.de, with a few words on your research in the WEBKDD domain, and, possibly, on open issues you consider appropriate for the panel discussion.

Please mail your SOI as plain ASCII text (no formatting, no attachment of documents) to webkdd2000@wiwi.hu-berlin.de prior to July 15. You will be notified soon after this date.
