                    Combinatorial Image Analysis
                            (IWCIA 2000)

IWCIA'00  is the seventh  in  the  serie  of workshops dedicated  to
parallel and combinatorial image analysis. Prior meetings took place
in  Paris (France, 1991),  Ube  (Japan,  1992), Washington DC  (USA,
1994), Lyon  (France, 1995),  Hiroshima   (Japan, 1997), and  Madras
(India, 1999).

IWCIA'00 will be held on July 10-11, 2000  at the University of Caen
(France). It  will  consist  of invited  and contributed   papers on
theories  and   models,   algorithms, parallel    architectures, and
applications   in the  field of  combinatorial   and  parallel image
analysis.

Suitable topics include:

   - Array, graphs and parallel grammars, cellular automata;
   - Discrete geometry, digital topology, combinatorial methods
     in image analysis;
   - Integer only algorithms and parallel algorithms for
     image processing and image analysis;
   - Parallel architectures, applications of combinatorial or
     parallel techniques in the field of image analysis;
   - Tilings, patterns, quasi-crystals;
   - Combinatorial problems in the discrete plane.

Authors should send four copies of complete manuscripts of their
papers to the program chair:

Important dates:
         - Deadline for submission: November 19, 1999.
         - Notification of acceptance: March 24, 2000.
         - Manuscript due date: June 2, 2000.

Proceedings  will be available at the  workshop, and accepted papers
will also  be  considered to  be  published  in a  special issue  on
Combinatorial Image Analysis in the journal
"International Journal on Parttern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence"
(IJPRAI) after the conference.
