Here are situated a large shopping complex, and the Victoria Markets, as well as the Arts Centre in walking distance just over the river. Melbourne is a clean city of over 3 million people, abundant with restaurants and oozing multi-culture, with an international airport just 20 minutes' drive from the University. SPONSORS: International Mathematical Union Combinatorial Mathematics Society of Australasia (CMSA) Institute of Combinatorics and its Applications University of Melbourne PROGRAM: There will be one-hour invited talks and half-hour contributed talks. Papers are now sought in all areas of theoretical and applied combinatorial mathematics and computing. These may introduce recent research or give a descriptive review of a combinatorial topic. This should be submitted either in camera-ready printed form for inclusion in a booklet of conference abstracts, or in TEX, LATEX, or AMS-TEX form by email. Please submit your abstract by Friday 23 May 1997. Papers presented at the conference may be submitted to the Australasian Journal of Combinatorics, where they will undergo the standard refereeing process. The cost of the issue containing these papers is included in the registration fee. All participants will be mailed a copy when it is published. ACCOMMODATION: (i ) College Accommodation is provided at Newman College which is less than 5 minutes' walk from the conference venue. The cost is $40 per person per night for bed and breakfast. It includes a long stop at Emerald Lake for obtaining refreshments and wandering along paths amongst the trees. (Bring warm coat etc. - usual temperatures that time of year around 14 degrees C, but may be a little lower.) Tickets must be purchased along with registration, at $25 per person,.
