Stanford campus is empty of people...


...its Papua New Guinea Sculpture Garden
is more than ever a source of inspiration, reminding us of the human condition.
[The stone
and wood statues were carved in 1994 by two groups of Papuan who traveled to
Stanford from the Sepik river region in PNG. For more information, see here.]


[The creator
of this wood statue was inspired by The Thinker bronze statue of Rodin exposed
in Stanford′s Cantor Museum.]
