Summer Activities

Through the Physician Scientist Training Program, I spent the summer doing research under D. Craig Hooper, Ph.D. in Thomas Jefferson University's Department of Cancer Biology. My final research paper was titled: The trigger for increased blood-brain barrier permeability in experimental allergic encephalomyelitis.

I spent the summer taking Astronomy 10 and Psychology 1 at the University of California, Berkeley.

I spent the summer taking Logic 12A and Comparative Politics at the University of California, Berkeley. My final research paper for Comparative Politics compared and contrasted authoritarian state-building in Japan and France.

I spent my days working at Nan Inc. as an IT intern, and my nights practicing for Mu Alpha Theta with the Kamehameha math team. After that, in August I participated in the Stanford Summer Engineering Academy.
