I did this hike for acclimatization before doing the 5-day
traverse of the White Mountains.
View over South Lake (2877m) at the start of the hike. The water level of
the lake, a dam reservoir, was quite low, likely because of the severe drought
hitting California.
Sequence of lakes between South Lake and Bishop Pass. Unlike South Lake,
all of them are natural lakes and were filled at nominal capacity.
