different types of toss-up questions, worth any amount each, making it
compatible with virtually every common quiz bowl format including NAQT
(15/10/-5), ACF and CB (10/-5), and others, such as 20/15/10/5 formats.
- Optionally
tracks bonuses heard, bonus points, and bonus conversion statistics
manually or automatically; either enter bonuses heard and bonus points
while entering each game or allow the program to calculate these number
automatically (from total score, input toss-ups, and if applicable input
60-second round scores). Automatic bonus calculations can even correct for
overtime games.
- Optionally tracks number
of toss-ups heard and calculates points per toss-ups heard for teams and
players. Allows players to be ranked either by points per game or by
points per toss-up heard.
- Optionally
tracks specialty statistics such as power to neg ratios and cumulative
round statistics, providing information about the relative difficulty of
packets' toss-ups, bonuses, and overall.
- Optionally tracks
sixty-second ("lightning") round points (for applicable
tournament formats).
- Backwards
compatible: Import tournament files from SQBS Version 1.x or Version 2.0
into Version 3.0.
- Optionally allows
multiple divisions, allowing separate standings for each division while
combining individual rankings and allowing interdivisional matches. (For
completely independent divisions, multiple copies of the program may be
launched.)
- Break
win-loss record ties in standings either by points per game or
head-to-head (followed by points per game if still tied).
Rosters
- Enter
any number of teams with any number of players each.
- Easy-to-use
roster input window allows additions of teams or players or changes to any
names to be made at any time.
- Type rosters into roster
entry form, or read all rosters in from a text file.
- Teams
can be entered in any order and then sorted so that they appear in
drop-down boxes and in reports in alphabetical order.
Game Input
- Enter
all game statistics in one easy-to-use window.
- Allows
scrolling back and forth among games and jumping to specific games, so
changes to previously entered games can easily be made at any time.
- Select
the two teams from drop-down menus, and the players' names and all data
entry boxes applicable to the chosen options automatically appear.
- Individual
points are calculated automatically from question values and the number of
questions of each type entered for each player, and they appear on the
screen instantly.
- Statistics
for bonuses, toss-ups heard, and sixty-second rounds appear if applicable
to the chosen options and may be entered or (for bonuses) automatically
calculated.
- Games may be assigned
round numbers and/or any alphanumeric id (sequential numbering is used as
the default), which can be used to later query for a specific game or to
sort the games, so they can be ordered correctly on the screen and in the
scoreboard report even if they are entered out of order.
- Forfeits, overtimes,
and ties can all be handled with ease.
- Substitutions can be
handled by games played statistics. Either enter as a decimal (such as
"0.5"), or as the ratio of toss-ups heard to total toss-ups in
the game (such as "11/23") for greater accuracy.
- Optionally produces
warning messages when entered game data is inconsistent.
- Games can be deleted
