Abraha
Castle Hotel in Mekele. This 19th-century stone
castle is a bit run down for a hotel, but it has much character (unlike the
recent hotels in Mekele). I had met the Ras (prince) of Mekele, governor
of Tigray, at its restaurant in 1973.
